Weddings/Functions
Your Country Garden Wedding Ceremony and Reception. The ceremony can be held anywhere in the Garden, but popularly under the big Bunya and Cedar trees in the front garden, or on the old grass tennis court, both having pleasant pastoral views to the east. The large blue stone Function room accommodates 100 seated guests. We can offer Buffet, Banquet or Table service. The room opens onto a stone-walled croquet lawn facing north- ideal for serving drinks and canapes..
Gardens
The garden of approx. 3 acres was established 150 years ago, and in the past has opened for The Australian Open Garden Scheme and features old trees, tennis court, a pond, rose garden, crinkle- crankle wall, small vineyard and vine-covered pergola.
Bush Walks
There is a lovely walk through 200 acres of dry sclerophyll country, following Reedy Creek with it’s pink granite boulders and small waterfalls, ending up at a BBQ area, or lunch back at the Homestead.
Corporate Events
The venue is private, offsite and has immediate access to the garden. It has Internet connection and mobile reception . In the country, 50 kms from Canberra, conveniently located between Bungendore and Braidwood.
A Concert, Birthday Party, Family Celebration
Bushbands, small classical instrumental groups, soloists and singers have all enjoyed the excellent acoustics of “The Big Room”.
