The size of the property has changed over the years and now Palerang is a working property of 1700 acres with Mulloon Creek, flowing in a northerly direction, through the middle. This provides a beautiful rural setting for any functions in the garden. Two large trees, a Bunya Bunya and an Atlantic Cedar, probably planted in the 1850’s, and the old tennis court (1920’s), dominate the front garden. The stone walls, including the unusual crinkle –crankle wall, the croquet lawn walls and the eastern pergola walls, were built in the early 1970’s using stone from the property. The pond nestles in the north of the garden, the small 1970’s vineyard to the east and the Hawthorn Walk allows entrance from the west.We have had a very busy but happy time in the ongoing restoration of this wonderful property, homestead and garden. Please enjoy, as we always do, the calming views from the garden, of the paddocks, bush and creek.
